A crypto casino Ireland players can rely on starts long before the cashier: with where you buy your coins, which network you send them on and how you track their value in euro. This guide follows the whole loop, from a MiCA-authorised exchange to the casino wallet and back to your IE IBAN, with the tax and volatility traps worked out in plain numbers.
Short answerA crypto casino lets you deposit and withdraw in coins such as Bitcoin, Ethereum or a stablecoin instead of a card. Playing at a crypto casino in Ireland works best when you buy crypto from a MiCA-authorised provider, send a small test first and remember that betting winnings are exempt from CGT, while gains on the coins themselves can be taxed at 31% from 7 October 2026 after the €1,270 annual exemption. No online casino holds a GRAI licence yet, so read each site’s terms before you deposit.

22BET: crypto among many payment methods
Crypto casino Ireland: what it is and how it differs from a card casino
A crypto casino is an online casino whose cashier accepts digital coins as well as, or instead of, euro payment methods. You send coins from your own wallet to an address the casino gives you, the balance appears in your account, and when you cash out the casino sends coins back to a wallet address you choose. No card number, no bank reference, no chargeback. For Irish players weighing up a crypto casino Ireland option, that last point is both the attraction and the risk.
The games are the same ones you find at any online casino: slots from the big studios, roulette and blackjack tables, live dealers and the crash games that grew up alongside crypto. What changes is the money layer. A card deposit is reversible and settled in euro by your bank. A crypto deposit is final once the network confirms it, it is settled in a coin whose euro value moves by the minute, and the only records are the public blockchain plus whatever your exchange and the casino keep.
Some sites are crypto-only and show balances in coins. Others are ordinary casinos with crypto as one method among cards and e-wallets, and they convert your deposit into a euro balance on arrival. The second type is easier for most people: you play in euro, you see results in euro, and crypto is simply the pipe. Whichever model a crypto casino online uses, the questions below stay the same: where the coins come from, how they travel, what they are worth when they come back and what Revenue sees.
Is a crypto casino legal for Irish players? The rules in October 2026
Ireland rewrote its gambling law with the Gambling Regulation Act 2024 and set up the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland (GRAI), formally established in March 2025. The Authority began licensing remote betting from 1 July 2026. Licences for gaming, which is what an online casino needs, are not available yet: GRAI says applications for the remaining licence types, including gaming, will open throughout 2027 and 2028.
So no online casino, crypto or otherwise, holds a GRAI licence today. Every crypto casino Ireland players can sign up to operates without a GRAI licence, under its own terms, and Irish duties written for licensees, such as not unreasonably withholding winnings, offering deposit limits and refusing credit cards, do not automatically apply to them. That is not a reason to panic, but it is a reason to read terms more carefully than you would at a licensed bookmaker. GRAI’s public register shows who is licensed; in October 2026 its business-to-consumer list contains betting operators only.
Two rules are worth knowing even when you play offshore. Since 5 February 2026 licensees may not accept credit cards, including digital money loaded from a credit card, which is a sensible line to draw for yourself when you buy coins to gamble with. And the Verification of Identity and Age Regulations 2026 show where Irish policy is heading on ID checks: casinos licensed here in future will verify every player, crypto or not.

Which coins crypto casino sites accept
Most crypto casino sites list the same handful of coins. Bitcoin is the default, Ethereum is close behind, and a group of faster, cheaper networks fills the rest of the cashier. Stablecoins, which track the US dollar or the euro, have become the practical choice for players who want crypto speed without the price swings. We cover the two biggest coins in depth in our Bitcoin casino Ireland guide and our Ethereum casino page; here is the quick comparison.
The table hides one important lesson: the network matters as much as the coin. Many tokens, stablecoins especially, exist on more than one chain. If you withdraw a token on one network to an address that lives on another, the coins may be lost or need a slow manual recovery by support. Match the network on the casino side with the network on your wallet or exchange side every time, even when the coin name looks identical.
On stablecoins specifically, the European Securities and Markets Authority told exchanges in January 2025 to stop offering stablecoins that don’t comply with MiCA by the end of the first quarter of 2025, while still allowing them to hold and transfer existing balances for customers. In practice the stablecoin your Irish exchange sells may not be the one a casino lists first. Pick a coin both sides support rather than paying for extra swaps.
Common casino coins compared (general traits, not casino-specific)
Coin
Why players use it
What to watch
Bitcoin (BTC)
Accepted almost everywhere; the deepest market
Fees rise when the network is busy; confirmations can be slow
Ethereum (ETH)
Widely accepted; also carries many tokens
Fees vary with demand; tokens on Ethereum need the right network selected
Stablecoins (dollar- or euro-pegged)
Value stays close to its peg, so your balance doesn’t swing
The same token can run on several networks; ask your exchange about its MiCA status
Litecoin (LTC)
Usually cheaper and quicker to send than Bitcoin
Fewer exchanges and cashiers list it
Bitcoin Cash (BCH)
Low fees on an offshoot of Bitcoin
Not the same coin as BTC; the wrong network can lose funds
Other fast networks (Solana, Tron, Dogecoin and others)
Low fees and quick confirmations
Support varies a lot from one cashier to the next
Buying crypto in Ireland: use a MiCA-authorised provider
Before any crypto casino comes into it, you need coins, and the rules for selling them in Ireland changed recently. The EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) has applied to crypto-asset service providers, or CASPs, since 30 December 2024, and the Central Bank of Ireland is the national competent authority. Providers already registered in Ireland before that date could keep trading for up to 12 months, a window that closed on 30 December 2025. Since then anyone offering crypto services here needs CASP authorisation.
For you that means one simple check: is the app or exchange authorised under MiCA, either by the Central Bank of Ireland or by another EU regulator and passported into Ireland? Kraken, for example, states that it holds two CASP authorisations from the Central Bank of Ireland, passported across 30 EEA countries. Look for the authorisation statement in a provider’s legal footer and confirm it with the regulator rather than trusting an advert or a social media post.
Pay for coins with a debit card or a bank transfer. SEPA Instant transfers in euro arrive within ten seconds at any hour, and since 9 October 2025 Verification of Payee checks the name on the receiving account before you send, which is useful protection against fake exchange pages. Don’t buy crypto on a credit card to gamble: Irish law already stops licensed operators taking credit-funded payments, and the reasoning applies just as well to your own spending.
Choose an authorised providerPick an exchange or app that states MiCA authorisation you can confirm with the regulator.
Verify your accountAuthorised providers must check who you are. Upload ID and proof of address once and later sales back to euro go smoothly.
Top up in euroSend euro by SEPA Instant from AIB, Bank of Ireland, PTSB or Revolut, or pay by debit card. Check the fee before you confirm.
Buy the coin the casino supportsMatch both coin and network to the casino cashier. A stablecoin keeps the value steady while it travels.
Send a test, then the restMove a small amount to the casino first. Keep the exchange receipt: it records your purchase price for tax.
How to deposit at an online crypto casino
A deposit at an online crypto casino is a transfer you push, not a payment the casino pulls. That reverses a lot of card-payment instincts. The casino can’t take more than you send, but it also can’t refund your mistake, and neither can your exchange. The few minutes you spend checking details are, in effect, your whole consumer protection.
Most cashiers work the same way. You choose the coin, the casino shows a deposit address and often a QR code, and you send coins to it from your exchange or wallet. Some networks also use a memo or destination tag that tells the casino which account the coins belong to; leave it out and the coins reach the casino but not your balance. Once the network has confirmed the transaction as many times as the casino’s rules require, your balance updates.
Check the deposit minimum for each coin before you send. If you send less than the minimum, the deposit may not be credited at all, and returning coins below the threshold is at the casino’s discretion. Network fees are paid by the sender, so the casino receives slightly less than the amount that left your exchange, which matters when you are close to a minimum.
Open the cashier and pick the coinChoose the exact coin and network. If the casino converts to euro, note the rate it shows.
Copy the address, don’t type itUse copy and paste or the QR code, then check that the first and last characters match after pasting.
Add the memo or tag if askedNetworks that use tags need them. A missing tag is a common reason a deposit doesn’t appear.
Send a small test amountA first small transfer proves the address and network before you commit the full sum.
Wait for confirmationsThe cashier says how many it needs. The transaction ID lets you follow progress on a blockchain explorer.
Check what was creditedCompare the balance with what you sent, minus the network fee, and screenshot it for your records.
Crypto casino instant withdrawal: what “instant” really means
Crypto has a reputation for fast payouts, and the reputation is partly earned. Once a casino releases a withdrawal, coins can reach your wallet far faster than a bank transfer from an offshore payment processor. But a crypto casino instant withdrawal is a marketing phrase, not a technical one. The network is only one stage of the cashout, and usually not the slowest.
The real queue starts inside the casino. Withdrawals often sit in a pending state, the casino may run identity checks at your first cashout, and some sites approve requests by hand. Only then do the coins move. If you want euro in your bank, add the time to sell on an exchange and the transfer back to your account. A crypto casino with fast withdrawals is one where every stage is short and predictable, and you can judge that from the terms and from your own first small withdrawal.
If speed is your main criterion, read our guides to instant withdrawal casinos and fast withdrawal casino sites, which compare crypto with e-wallets and cards. The honest summary: a crypto casino fast payout depends on the operator’s approval process far more than on the coin you choose.

Volatility: the price risk between deposit and withdrawal
Here is the risk card players never face. When you deposit a volatile coin you are holding two bets at once: the casino game and the coin’s euro price. If the casino keeps your balance in the coin, the second bet runs the whole time you play. If it converts to euro on arrival, the second bet runs only while coins travel, from your exchange to the casino and from the casino back to you.
A hypothetical makes it concrete. Say you buy €400 of a coin, play at a site that keeps balances in that coin, and finish level with the same number of coins you started with. If the coin’s price fell 15% while you played, you withdraw coins worth €340: a €60 loss without losing a single hand. If it rose 15%, you hold €460 worth, and that €60 is a crypto gain, not a gambling win, which matters for tax.
Three ways to keep the second bet small: use a stablecoin, play at a casino that converts your deposit into a euro balance, or cash out promptly instead of leaving coins in a casino wallet for weeks. Whatever you choose, set your budget in euro rather than in coins, so a price dip never tempts you to top up to “get back” to where you were.

Crypto tax in Ireland: CGT at 31% and the €1,270 exemption
Revenue’s position on gambling winnings is clear: you don’t pay Capital Gains Tax on gains from betting, lottery wins, prize bonds or sweepstakes. Crypto is a different matter. Revenue brings crypto-assets within CGT, so disposing of coins, selling them for euro for instance, can produce a taxable gain or an allowable loss measured against what you paid.
The rate changed with Budget 2027. For most disposals from 7 October 2026 the CGT rate is 31%; the old 33% rate covered disposals from 6 December 2021 to 6 October 2026. Each individual still has an annual personal exemption covering the first €1,270 of chargeable gains.
Worked hypothetical: you buy €3,000 of coins, play and finish level in coin terms, then sell the coins for €5,000 because the price rose while you played. The €2,000 is a crypto gain. After the €1,270 exemption, €730 is taxable, and at 31% the bill is €226.30. In real life the hard part is separating price movement from game results, which is why records matter. Whether a deposit of coins to a casino is itself a disposal is a question for Revenue’s guidance or a tax adviser; this page can’t give individual tax advice.

Crypto casino bonus offers: free spins, no deposit deals and faucets
Crypto casinos compete hard on promotions, and the searches around them are endless: crypto free spins, a crypto casino no deposit bonus, faucets, deposit matches, sign up bonus packages. The mechanics are the same as at any casino, with one extra layer. Wagering is usually counted in the casino’s base currency, so if your balance is held in a coin, both the bonus and the requirement move with the price.
Free spins first. Crypto casino free spins come either with a deposit or, more rarely, as no deposit free spins on registration. Winnings from the spins usually land as bonus money with wagering attached and a cap on what you can withdraw. A hypothetical: 50 spins at €0.20 return €12 in bonus funds with 35x wagering, so you must stake €420 before any of it becomes withdrawable. At a 96% RTP the expected cost of that wagering is about €16.80, more than the €12 you won. Read caps and eligible games before getting excited about any free spin crypto casino offer; our free spins no deposit guide explains the small print.
Faucets are a crypto oddity. A crypto faucet casino hands out tiny amounts of coin at intervals or for small tasks, enough for a few low-stake rounds. Treat it as a demo with a token reward, not a route to meaningful money. Seasonal deals, such as a Black Friday crypto casino promotion, follow the same logic as every other offer: the terms decide the value, not the banner.
Our pick, 22BET, keeps it simple: there is no no-deposit bonus and no registration free spins, and the welcome offer is +250% on your deposit. Check the bonus terms on the 22BET site for wagering and eligible games before you opt in, and compare them with our general guide to welcome bonuses.
Crypto slots, crypto roulette and crypto blackjack: same games, same maths
Paying in coins doesn’t change a game’s maths. Crypto slots run the same versions from the same studios as euro slots, and a single-zero roulette wheel has the same house edge whether you stake euro or Bitcoin. What varies between casinos is which RTP version of a slot they run, so opening the game’s information screen matters as much at a crypto site as anywhere else. RTP figures below come from the providers; a casino’s version may differ.
For crypto roulette, the rule is the same as in euro: pick the single-zero wheel and skip the double-zero one, which nearly doubles the edge. Our online roulette guide covers the bet types. For crypto blackjack, check the payout printed on the table felt: 3 to 2 for a blackjack is standard, and 6 to 5 is a worse game in disguise. Blackjack crypto sites also run live dealer tables, which our online blackjack guide explains in more depth.
Stake display is where crypto sites differ most. A casino that shows balances in a coin may show stakes as tiny fractions, which makes it easy to lose track of what a spin costs in euro. Switch the display to euro if the site allows it, or keep a quick conversion in your head before you raise a stake.

Crypto casino crash games, Aviator and Plinko
Crash games were made for crypto audiences and still sit at the top of most crypto lobbies. In a crypto casino crash game a multiplier climbs from 1x and can stop at any moment; you cash out before it stops or lose the stake. The appeal is pace: a round lasts seconds, and a single session can contain hundreds of decisions.
Crypto Aviator is the best-known title of the type. We couldn’t confirm an official RTP from the provider’s own pages, so we don’t quote one; check the game’s information screen at the casino. Plinko from BGaming is clearer: the provider lists an RTP of 99% and a maximum multiplier of x1000. Our pages on Aviator and Plinko go through the rules, auto cash-out and stake sizing.
Two warnings specific to crash crypto casino play. The fast rhythm makes losses add up quickly, so set a round count or a euro loss limit before you start. And auto-bet combined with a volatile coin balance doubles the speed at which the euro value of your bankroll changes. Low stakes, euro display and a fixed stopping point keep it a game.
Provably fair: how to check a crypto game result yourself
Provably fair is the one feature crypto casinos genuinely introduced. Instead of asking you to trust a testing lab, a provably fair game lets you confirm that a result wasn’t changed after you placed your bet. It applies to a casino’s own instant games, such as dice, crash, Plinko-style and mines-style titles, not to slots from the big studios or live dealer tables, which rely on independent testing instead.
The method uses cryptographic hashing. Before a round, the casino commits to a secret server seed by showing you its hash, a fingerprint that can’t be reversed into the seed. You add your own client seed, and a counter called a nonce goes up with each bet. The result is calculated from all three. When you change seeds, the casino reveals the old server seed; you hash it yourself, confirm it matches the fingerprint you were shown, and recompute any result you like.
Provably fair proves a result wasn’t altered. It doesn’t prove the house edge is low, that the casino will pay out, or that the operator is trustworthy in any other way. Treat it as one tick on a checklist, not as a seal of approval.
Set your own client seed before you play instead of keeping the default
Copy the hashed server seed shown before your first bet
Rotate seeds after the session so the casino reveals the old server seed
Hash the revealed seed with the method the casino names and compare it with your copy
Rebuild a few results from server seed, client seed and nonce with the casino’s verifier or an independent tool
Anonymous crypto casino and crypto casino without KYC: the honest picture
Anonymity is the most oversold promise in this market. A blockchain is public: every deposit and withdrawal stays visible for good, and the exchange where you bought the coins knows who you are, because MiCA-authorised providers must verify customers. An anonymous crypto casino may skip ID at sign-up, but it can still ask for documents at withdrawal, and its terms usually reserve that right.
Searches for a crypto casino without KYC usually come from people who want speed, not secrecy, and the legitimate version of that is a quick sign-up with checks done once, early. Upload your ID before your first big cashout and the question disappears. Our no KYC casino guide covers which documents casinos ask for and how to get through quickly.
A site that promises never to check anyone is also a site with nothing stopping minors or people who have excluded themselves elsewhere. If you have self-excluded from gambling, a crypto casino is not a way back in; the support services on our responsible gambling page are the better call.
New crypto casino sites and crypto casino reviews: what to check first
A new crypto casino is never hard to find, usually with a big bonus and a polished lobby. Age alone isn’t a problem, but a new site has no payout track record, and crypto payments can’t be reversed. Before you trust a brand, read crypto casino reviews for withdrawal complaints rather than bonus praise, then test the site yourself with a small deposit and a small withdrawal.
A decentralized crypto casino, where bets run through smart contracts and you connect a wallet instead of opening an account, is a niche of its own. It removes the operator’s ability to delay a payout but adds smart-contract risk, and there is usually nobody to complain to if something breaks. For most players a conventional crypto gambling casino with crypto in its cashier is the more predictable choice.
Account security deserves a line of its own. Turn on two-factor authentication for your crypto casino login and for your exchange, use a unique password, and never approve a wallet connection or withdrawal address change you didn’t start yourself.
A named operating company and a licence statement you can look up
Clear withdrawal terms: pending times, verification triggers and any limits

Bonus terms in plain language: wagering, caps and eligible games
Deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion in the account settings
Support that gives a straight answer to a question about withdrawals before you deposit
Our pick for crypto players: 22BET
For a crypto casino in Ireland that treats coins as one option rather than the whole experience, our pick is 22BET. It accepts crypto among a wide choice of payment methods, alongside cards and e-wallets, and puts casino, live casino and sportsbook on one account. New players get +250% on your deposit, and the brand holds a 5.0 rating from 2,748 reviews. Check which coins and networks the cashier shows for your account, and the minimum for each, before you send anything.
22BET is an offshore operator without a GRAI licence, so Irish licensee rules don’t apply to it, and its own terms govern verification and withdrawals. Treat it like any crypto casino in this guide: a test deposit, early verification and a small first withdrawal. For a ranked look at what separates good crypto sites from the rest, see our best crypto casino guide.
Keeping crypto gambling in check
Crypto makes gambling money feel less like money: balances in fractions of a coin, deposits at any hour, no card statement line to look at. Set a monthly budget in euro, use the casino’s deposit limit, and consider a gambling block in Revolut or your bank app if play starts creeping up. If it stops being fun, Gambling Care’s national helpline on 1800 936 725 is open 24 hours a day, and our responsible gambling page lists Irish support services.
Frequently asked questions
Are crypto casinos legal in Ireland?
No online casino holds a GRAI licence yet, because applications for gaming licences only open in 2027 and 2028. Every crypto casino open to Irish players therefore operates without a GRAI licence, under its own terms, and protections written for Irish licensees don’t automatically apply. Buying the coins is regulated separately: since 30 December 2025 crypto providers in Ireland need CASP authorisation under MiCA.
What is the best crypto casino in Ireland?
The best crypto casino for Irish players is one that supports the coin and network you already use, states its withdrawal and verification rules clearly, and pays a small test withdrawal without fuss. Our pick is 22BET, which accepts crypto among many methods and offers +250% on your deposit. Our ranking page sets out the full criteria.
Which crypto casino has instant withdrawal?
None can promise it every time. The blockchain transfer can be quick, but the casino’s pending period, identity checks and any active bonus usually take longer than the network. You get the fastest crypto casino instant withdrawal by verifying early, clearing bonuses before you cash out and using a low-fee network or a stablecoin.
Can I get a crypto casino no deposit bonus?
Some crypto sites offer small no deposit bonuses or free spins, usually with wagering and a low cap on what you can withdraw. Work out the stake needed before you play: a €10 bonus at 40x means €400 of bets. 22BET has no no-deposit offer; its welcome bonus is +250% on your deposit, with terms on its site.
Do I pay tax on crypto casino winnings in Ireland?
Revenue says gains from betting are exempt from CGT. Gains on the coins themselves are a separate matter: disposing of crypto-assets falls within CGT, at 31% for disposals from 7 October 2026, after the €1,270 annual exemption. Keep records that separate price gains from game results, and ask a tax adviser about your own situation.
How do I buy crypto in Ireland to use at a casino?
Use an exchange or app authorised as a CASP under MiCA, verify your account, fund it in euro by SEPA Instant or debit card, and buy a coin the casino supports on a network it lists. Send a small test first. Avoid credit cards: Irish licensees are banned from accepting credit-funded payments, and it’s a sound rule for your own budget too.
Is an anonymous crypto casino really anonymous?
Rarely. Blockchain transactions are public, your exchange knows who you are, and most casinos reserve the right to check your ID, often at your first withdrawal. A casino that never checks anyone carries more risk, not less. The practical goal is a fast, one-off verification, not anonymity.
What is a crypto faucet casino?
A faucet gives away very small amounts of crypto at intervals or for simple tasks, which you can use on low-stake games. Amounts are tiny and usually come with conditions, so a faucet works like a demo with a token reward. It isn’t a meaningful source of money.
Are crypto slots fair?
Crypto slots from established studios run the same maths as their euro versions; check the RTP in the game’s information screen, because casinos can choose between versions. In-house crypto games may be provably fair, which lets you verify that a result wasn’t altered. Neither guarantees a profit: every casino game has a house edge.
What happens if I send crypto to the wrong address or network?
Crypto transfers can’t be reversed. If the address belongs to nobody or sits on another network, the coins may be lost. If you sent the right coin on a network the casino supports but forgot a memo or tag, contact support with the transaction ID; recovery is possible but at their discretion. Always send a test first.
Which coin is best for a crypto casino?
For most Irish players a stablecoin on a low-fee network is the most practical, because your balance doesn’t swing with the market. Bitcoin is accepted almost everywhere but can be slower and dearer to send at busy times. Pick whatever your exchange and the casino both support on the same network.
Can I use Revolut for a crypto casino?
Revolut is a common way for Irish players to send euro to an exchange, and its Irish branch gives customers an IE IBAN. For gambling itself, check what the casino cashier offers; our Revolut casino guide covers card and transfer options. Revolut also lets you switch on a gambling block in the app if you want to stop.
