Online casino payment methods decide how fast your money lands, how winnings come back and whether a bonus counts at all. This guide puts every option an Irish player meets in a cashier side by side: debit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay, Revolut, SEPA bank transfer, e-wallets, paysafecard, pay by phone and crypto. For each one you get the speed, the costs, the privacy and the situations where it makes sense.
Short answerFor most Irish players the best online casino payment methods are a debit card or Revolut for everyday deposits, Apple Pay or Google Pay on mobile, and a SEPA Instant transfer for larger amounts: they are quick, cheap and pay back to your own account. E-wallets suit people who want casino money kept apart from their bank, paysafecard suits small cash-style deposits, and crypto brings price swings and tax paperwork. Credit cards are off the table at GRAI licensees since 5 February 2026.

Online casino payment methods in Ireland: the short map
Strip away the logos and every cashier offers the same few families of online casino payment methods. There are cards, which in Ireland means debit cards. There are phone wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay, which present a card in a tidier way. There are bank transfers, now mostly SEPA Instant. Then come e-wallets like Skrill, Neteller and PayPal, prepaid vouchers such as paysafecard, pay-by-phone services and crypto. Revolut sits across several of these at once, as a card, a wallet card and an IBAN.
The family matters more than the brand. It decides whether a deposit is instant, whether you can be paid back to the same place, who sees your bank details and whether the welcome bonus will count. Two methods from the same family behave almost identically: a Bank of Ireland debit card and an AIB debit card go through the same card networks, and a payout to either works the same way. That is why this guide groups methods rather than ranking forty logos.
Ireland adds two local twists. First, since 5 February 2026 section 165 of the Gambling Regulation Act 2024 bans GRAI licensees from accepting credit cards, including e-wallets or other digital means loaded from a credit card, so every sensible plan starts from your own money. Second, Ireland is in the euro area, so euro transfers move on SEPA rails, and SEPA Instant has become a genuine alternative to cards for casino payments.
Every casino deposit option compared in one table
The table compares the casino deposit options Irish players see most often on the six points that matter: how fast a deposit lands, whether you can withdraw to the same method, what it costs, whether bonuses usually accept it and what the casino gets to see. Where a figure exists in an official source we give it; where costs depend on your bank, wallet or plan, the honest answer is to check that provider's fee page and the casino cashier before you pay.
Treat “usually” literally. Casinos set their own rules per method, and the same method can qualify for a bonus at one site and be excluded at the next. The table is a starting map, not a promise about any single cashier.

Debit cards: Visa and Mastercard at Irish casinos
The debit card is still the backbone of online casino payments in Ireland. Every main Irish bank issues one, almost every cashier takes Visa and Mastercard, and a deposit is a single form plus an approval in your banking app through 3-D Secure. Card payouts also exist: many casinos return money to the card you deposited with, up to the amount deposited, and send anything above that by bank transfer.
The rule to remember is the credit card ban. GRAI licensees may not accept payment by credit card, and that includes an e-wallet topped up from one. Check which card you are actually holding before you save it in a cashier: some people carry a credit card and a debit card from the same bank, and the two look alike. If a casino is happy to take a credit card from an Irish player, that alone tells you it is not working under Irish licensing rules.
Card deposits are the method most bonus terms are written around, which makes them the safe default if you plan to claim an offer. The downsides are smaller: card details stored by the casino, statements that show gambling merchants by name, and payouts that can take longer than a bank transfer. Our Visa casino guide and Mastercard casino page go into each network separately.
Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Wallet
Phone wallets are the most comfortable mobile payment casino option. Apple lists AIB, Bank of Ireland, Permanent TSB, Revolut, An Post, Avant Money and An Post Money, credit union current accounts, N26, bunq, Wise and Curve among the Irish card issuers that support Apple Pay. Bank of Ireland launched Google Pay in 2020 as its first digital wallet, and PTSB brought in Apple Pay on 17 November 2020. In practice, almost any Irish debit card can sit in a phone wallet.
The casino sees a token, not your card number, and you approve each deposit with your face, fingerprint or phone PIN. Under the token the money is still a card payment, so the debit card rules apply, and withdrawals go to the card or to your IBAN, not to the wallet itself. The catch is availability: plenty of cashiers offer the card form but not the Apple Pay or Google Pay button, so check before you plan around it.
How to pay with Samsung Wallet follows the same logic. If your card is in Samsung Wallet and the cashier accepts card payments in a way your phone supports, it behaves like any tokenised card; if the casino shows no wallet option, use the card form instead. See our Apple Pay casino guide and Google Pay casino guide for the mobile details.
Revolut, Wise and other fintech accounts
Revolut is the payment method Irish players ask about most, and it is less a method than a bundle. Revolut Bank UAB has an Irish branch at 2 Dublin Landings, Dublin 1, and Irish residents receive an IE IBAN. In a cashier you can use the Revolut debit card, a Revolut virtual card, Apple Pay or Google Pay with the Revolut card inside, or a SEPA transfer from the IBAN. Our Revolut casino guide walks through each route and the withdrawal side.
How to pay with Wise at a casino works the same way: Wise appears on Apple's list of Irish Apple Pay issuers, so its card can be used through the card form or a phone wallet where the casino accepts it. N26, bunq and Curve fall into the same group of card-based fintech accounts. Before you use any of them, check whether its fee page charges for card payments in your situation and whether it applies its own rules to gambling merchants.
Fintech accounts have one quiet advantage for casino players: they make a separate gambling budget easy. A dedicated pocket or virtual card turns “how much have I spent this month?” into a glance at one screen. Revolut, like PTSB, also lets you switch on a gambling block in the app, which stops gambling card payments at the bank if you decide you need a break.
Bank transfer, SEPA Instant and open banking
Bank transfer used to be the slow option. The EU Instant Payments Regulation changed that: payment providers in euro countries had to receive instant euro transfers by 9 January 2025 and send them by 9 October 2025. The Banking & Payments Federation Ireland describes SEPA Instant as a euro transfer that arrives within 10 seconds, 24 hours a day, any day of the year, and the regulation says an instant transfer may not cost more than a standard one of the same type.
Verification of Payee is the other half. Since 9 October 2025 your bank checks the name on a new IBAN before the money leaves and tells you whether it is a match, a close match or no match. For casino payments that is a real safety net: if the payee name does not match the casino's payments page, you stop before sending. Always add the reference the casino gives you, since a transfer without it can sit unallocated for a while.
Open banking services such as Trustly sit between card and transfer: you log in to your bank through the casino's payment page and approve a transfer without typing an IBAN. We could not confirm from official sources how widely Trustly works for Irish accounts at casinos, so check the cashier. Our bank transfer casino guide and Trustly casino page cover both routes.
E-wallets: PayPal, Skrill and Neteller
E-wallets put a layer between the casino and your bank. You fund the wallet from your account or debit card, pay the casino from the wallet, and withdrawals return to it, so the casino never sees your bank details. Casinos that accept e-wallet deposits usually credit them at once and often pay out to them quickly. Our e-wallet casino guide compares the main brands.
PayPal is the special case. Its Acceptable Use Policy for Ireland lists gambling, including casino games and sports betting, among activities that need PayPal's prior approval, granted only where the operator and its customers are located exclusively in jurisdictions where the activity is permitted by law. So don't expect PayPal in every casino cashier open to Irish players. Our PayPal casino page explains where it does and does not appear.
Skrill and Neteller are the wallets you are more likely to meet at a casino. We could not verify their Irish fees from official pages, so read each wallet's fee page and the cashier yourself. One pattern is common enough to plan around: welcome offers often exclude e-wallet deposits, so the method that is perfect for fast payouts can cost you the bonus. Read the Skrill casino and Neteller casino guides before you choose, and check the terms if you are trying a new e-wallet casino.
Prepaid vouchers: paysafecard and gift cards like One4all
paysafecard is the cash-style option. You pay with a 16-digit code, and without an account a single payment can be up to €50; with a paysafecard account the limit is up to €1,000 per transaction. You can buy codes online in the account's PIN shop or from offline sales outlets found through the store finder. The company behind it, Paysafe Prepaid Services Limited, is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland.
The fees deserve attention before you buy a code you might not use. paysafecard's Irish fee page lists a €4 monthly service fee on the unused balance from the second month, a €7.50 refund fee and a €5 monthly account fee from the thirteenth month if an account has been inactive for twelve months. Payouts need an account and are capped: €250 a month on a Standard account and €30,000 a year on Unlimited. Our paysafecard casino guide covers the details.
How to pay online with a One4all card is a common question, and the short answer for casinos is: plan on something else. One4all is a retail gift card for shops, restaurants and services, and casino cashiers do not normally list it. If you want a voucher made for online payments, paysafecard is the one built for it.

Pay by phone: Boku, Siru and mobile payment casinos
Pay-by-phone services such as Boku and Siru let you put a deposit on your mobile bill or prepaid credit and confirm it by text message. Some casinos list them as a mobile payment casino feature, and they appeal to people who do not want to type any card or bank details. We could not confirm from official sources which Irish mobile networks support gambling payments through these services, so the only reliable check is the cashier on your own phone.
Two limits apply wherever pay by phone is offered. Amounts are small by design, and the method works in one direction only: there is no way to withdraw winnings to a phone bill, so you will need a bank account, card or e-wallet in your name before your first payout. Older “landline casino payments” for live dealer casinos belong to the same category and are rarely seen now. Our pay by phone casino guide has more on how these services work.
Crypto: Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin
Crypto is the method with the most moving parts. Instead of a card form you get a wallet address and a network to send on; the deposit lands after network confirmations, and withdrawals go back to an address you supply. Many offshore casinos list Bitcoin and Ethereum, and some add Litecoin as a lower-fee coin for small deposits. A mobile casino with a Litecoin payment option works the same way as one with Bitcoin: copy the address, check the network, send, wait for confirmations.
The regulation sits mostly with the exchange. The EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation applies to crypto-asset service providers from 30 December 2024, and the Central Bank of Ireland is the national authority; firms registered before that date could keep operating until 30 December 2025 and now need CBI authorisation. Buying crypto through an exchange to fund a casino usually means an account verified in your name, even if the casino sees only an address.
Then there is tax. Revenue brings disposals of crypto-assets, such as selling them for euro, within Capital Gains Tax; whether sending coins to a casino counts as a disposal is a question for Revenue's guidance or a tax adviser. The rate is 31% for most gains from 7 October 2026, with the first €1,270 of gains each year exempt. Price swings add another layer: a deposit can be worth less by the time you play. Our crypto casino Ireland guide, Bitcoin casino page and Ethereum casino page cover each coin.
Withdrawals by method: what comes back and how
A deposit method is only half a choice. The other half is how your money gets home, and that is where online casino payments differ most. Many casinos follow a closed-loop rule: winnings go back first to the method you deposited with, up to the amount deposited, and the rest goes by bank transfer. Some methods cannot receive money at all, so a player who deposits by phone bill or with a paysafecard code without an account has to add a payout method later, usually during the first withdrawal.
Expect identity checks on the first payout whichever method you use: photo ID, proof of address and sometimes proof that the card, wallet or account is yours. For GRAI licensees, section 155 of the Gambling Regulation Act 2024 says winnings shall not be unreasonably withheld, but GRAI is not yet licensing online casino games, so the casino's own withdrawal terms decide the minimum, the pending period and any caps. Our fast withdrawal casino guide shows where the time goes.

Payment methods and bonuses: when the method costs you the offer
Bonus terms often name excluded deposit methods, and e-wallets are the usual suspects. The deposit still goes through; it just does not trigger the offer, and that cannot be fixed afterwards. So read the excluded methods and the qualifying minimum before you pay, not after you see a balance without bonus money.
A worked example makes the stakes clear. Say a casino offers a 100% match up to a cap, with 35x wagering on the bonus, and you deposit €40. By debit card you get €40 in bonus money and need €1,400 in bets before it can be withdrawn. By an excluded e-wallet you get nothing extra and can withdraw your €40 balance whenever you like. Neither is automatically better: the bonus adds play time with strings attached, while the excluded deposit stays free of wagering. Our welcome bonus guide explains how to compare offers.
Two smaller traps sit nearby. Some casinos expect the bonus deposit and the first withdrawal to use the same method, so a bonus claimed by card and cashed out to a brand-new e-wallet can trigger extra checks. And a withdrawal requested before wagering is complete usually cancels the bonus and any winnings made with it. Neither rule is unusual, and both are written in the terms for anyone who reads them first.
How to choose the best casino payment method for you
There is no single best casino payment method, but there is a best one for each kind of player. The simplest test is to start from the withdrawal and work backwards: pick a method you can be paid to, check that it qualifies for any bonus you want, and only then think about speed. The table and steps below turn that into a short routine, and they work just as well for comparing casino payment methods in Ireland as for choosing within one cashier.
Start with the withdrawalCheck the withdrawal tab for which methods can receive money. A method that cannot pay you back means adding a second one later.
Read the bonus termsLook for excluded methods and the qualifying minimum. If you want the offer, choose a method that counts.
Compare minimums in the cashierMinimum deposits and withdrawals are set per method and can differ at the same casino.
Keep everything in euroA euro account and a euro method avoid exchange costs on the way in and out.
Stick to one methodUsing the same method for deposits and withdrawals keeps identity checks simple and payouts quicker.

How to deposit money at an online casino, Aviator included
How to deposit money in the Aviator game online is a common search, and the answer applies to every game: you never pay a game directly. You deposit into your casino account, and Aviator, slots and live tables all draw on that one balance. So the real question is which cashier method you use, and everything above applies. Once the money is in, open the game from the lobby and set your stake before each round; our Aviator guide explains how the game itself works.
Register and confirm your detailsUse your real name and address; they must match your payment method and your ID for withdrawals.
Open the cashierChoose Deposit and pick a method from the list shown for Ireland and euro.
Enter the amount and any bonus choiceOpt in or out of the welcome offer before you confirm, and check the minimum for your method.
Approve the paymentConfirm in your banking app, phone wallet, e-wallet or by entering the voucher code.
Open the game from the lobbyYour balance is shared across the casino, so the deposit is ready for Aviator, slots or live tables.
Payment safety, limits and staying in control
Good payment habits protect your money and your head. Use methods in your own name, keep 3-D Secure approvals on, and check every payee name with Verification of Payee before a transfer leaves. Never share card PINs or banking passwords with anyone claiming to be casino support. For GRAI licensees, section 164 of the Gambling Regulation Act 2024 requires a facility to set a monetary limit; once set, it cannot be lifted or raised during its period.
Banks add their own controls. According to problemgambling.ie, AIB can block gambling transactions on request at 0818 227 056 and Bank of Ireland at 0818 200 423, while Revolut and PTSB offer a gambling block in their apps. If you want a break, those tools work across every casino at once. Gambling Care's free helpline, 1800 936 725, is open 24/7, and our responsible gambling page lists every Irish service.
Know what a scam looks like, too. A real casino never asks you to pay into a personal account, read out a voucher code in a chat or send a “release fee” to a private IBAN before a withdrawal. Those requests are fraud, whatever logo sits on the message. Deposits go through the cashier inside your account, and nowhere else.
22BET payment options: what we can say
Every button on CasinoTill leads to 22BET, so it is fair to say plainly how it fits this guide. Its cashier offers a wide choice of payment methods, including cards, e-wallets and crypto, and one account covers casino, live casino and sportsbook. The welcome offer is +250% on your deposit. We do not quote its minimums, limits or payout times, because they depend on the method and change; check the cashier for Ireland after registering.
22BET is an offshore operator without a GRAI licence, so the duties that bind Irish licensees do not cover it. That is the trade-off for the method range, and it is worth weighing before you deposit. Read its bonus terms, including any excluded methods, on the 22BET site before you opt in.
Frequently asked questions
What are the best online casino payment methods in Ireland?
For most players, a debit card or Revolut for everyday deposits, Apple Pay or Google Pay on mobile and SEPA Instant for larger amounts. All three are quick, usually qualify for bonuses and pay back to your own account.
Which casino deposit options are the fastest?
Cards, phone wallets and most e-wallets are usually credited at once. SEPA Instant transfers arrive within 10 seconds, 24 hours a day. Crypto depends on network confirmations, and a standard SEPA transfer is the slowest.
Can I use a credit card at an online casino in Ireland?
Not at GRAI licensees: since 5 February 2026 they may not accept credit cards or e-wallets loaded from one. Use a debit card or your own bank balance.
Do online casino payments cost a fee?
It depends on the method and the provider. An instant euro transfer may not cost more than a standard one; card, wallet and Revolut costs depend on your bank or plan; paysafecard charges a €4 monthly fee on unused balance from the second month. Check the cashier for casino-side fees.
What is the minimum deposit for each payment method?
Each casino sets its own minimum per method, so the cashier is the only reliable source, and the figure can differ between card, bank transfer and crypto at the same site. paysafecard without an account is capped at €50 per code, which suits small deposits.
Which payment methods are excluded from casino bonuses?
E-wallets are the most commonly excluded, and some casinos exclude prepaid or crypto deposits too. The bonus terms list excluded methods, so read them before you deposit.
Are there casinos that accept e-wallet deposits?
Yes, many cashiers list Skrill and Neteller, while PayPal appears only where PayPal has approved the operator for gambling. E-wallets usually pay out back to the same wallet.
How do I pay with Wise at a casino?
Use the Wise debit card in the card form, or add it to Apple Pay or Google Pay if the cashier offers a wallet button. Check Wise's fee page and whether the casino pays out to the card.
Can I deposit at a casino with a One4all card?
One4all is a retail gift card, and casino cashiers do not normally list it. If you want a voucher for online payments, paysafecard is the one built for it, with up to €50 per code without an account.
Can I deposit with Boku or by phone bill in Ireland?
Some casinos list pay-by-phone services such as Boku or Siru, but we could not confirm Irish network support for gambling payments. Check the cashier on your phone, and remember you cannot withdraw to a phone bill.
Which method is best for withdrawals?
A bank transfer or Revolut IBAN, because almost every casino can pay to it and SEPA Instant makes the transfer itself take seconds. Debit cards and e-wallets also work where the casino supports them.
